Responsible for overseeing the Technical Operational functions for the organization.  Technical Services systems/functions include treated water systems; clinical/biomedical equipment; solution delivery systems (SDS); equipment interfaces with IS devices; Supervisor of technical services staff and facility issues including building and equipment systems.
Salary Range is between: $65k - 85k annually (DOQ)

Administration/Leadership:
  • Create an environment conducive to teamwork.

  • Oversee technical operations and staff at multiple facilities
  • Assure compliance with all regulatory standards, including CMS, OSHA and AAMI
  • Develop short and long-term initiatives for personnel training and staff development
  • Help the DTS develop and implement quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA)
  • Audit and report compliance with policies and procedures to the DTS
  • Perform Technical Coordinator and Technical Assistant functions in the absence of the Technical Coordinator and/or Technical Assistant
  • Follow all CDC policies and procedures.
  • 100% compliance of completing Healthstream modules.
  • Available to assist in all other duties, as needed.
  • Build strong relationships with vendors and assist in directing which vendors to use and not to use.
  • Coordinate and meet with Technical Coordinators and Technical Assistants to standardize systems, promote time management, and contribute to organizational cost savings
  • Identifies own learning needs. Professionally and regularly communicate audit compliance and other operational findings to Director of Technical Services
  • Develop and implement quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) tracking and reporting program
  • Produce quality assurance reports and make procedural adjustments as necessary based on QA data

Duties and Responsibilities
Works with Director of Technical Services on:
Water Systems:
  • Develop policies and procedures for monitoring, preventative maintenance, repairs and documentation
  • Monitor compliance with policies and procedures
  • Assure compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and AAMI standards
  • Develop and implement quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) tracking and reporting program
  • Produce quality assurance reports and make procedural adjustments as necessary based on QA data
  • Draw cultures using sterile techniques when assigned.
  • Review culture results and, when necessary, take appropriate action per CDC policies and procedures. Document events in the biomed software.
  • Review new technologies and systems
Solution Delivery Systems:
  • Develop policies and procedures for monitoring, preventative maintenance, repairs and documentation
  • Monitor compliance with policies and procedures
  • Assure compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and AAMI standards
  • Develop and implement quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) tracking and reporting program
  • Produce quality assurance reports and make procedural adjustments as necessary based on QA data
  • Review new technologies
Quality Assurance, Risk Management, and Safety:
  • Participate in the CMS or ODH inspections.
  • Assist Technical Coordinators in correcting all outlined ODH deficiencies.
  • Conduct regular formal audits and inspections.
  • Conduct regular checks that all necessary documentation for all treated water system or SDS repairs or actions of preventative maintenance is in the biomed software.
  • Monitor and analyze trends and develop action plans as needed.
  • Participate in ODH and Fire Marshal Inspections
Education and Training:
  • Develop tools for and audit competence of the Technical Coordinators.
  • Train new Technical Coordinators on Technical Operations.
  • Conduct New Technical Coordinator training for up to 30-consecutive days.
  • Assist with clinical staff in-services.
  • Assist in the creation of a Technical Services education program.
Dialysis machines and other biomedical equipment:
  • Review new technologies
  • Develop policies and procedures for monitoring, preventative maintenance, repairs and documentation
  • Assure compliance with all applicable manufacturer, regulatory agencies and AAMI standards
  • Develop and implement quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) tracking and reporting program
  • Produce quality assurance reports and make procedural adjustments as necessary based on QA data
Facility Management:
  • Develop procedures for dealing with facilities repairs and routine maintenance
  • Develop policies and procedures for monitoring, preventative maintenance, repairs and documentation
  • Monitor compliance with policies and procedures
  • Assure compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and AAMI standards
  • Develop and implement quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) tracking and reporting program
  • Produce quality assurance reports and make procedural adjustments as necessary based on QA data
  • Cover on–call in emergency situations.
Administration/Management:
  • Create an environment conductive to teamwork

  • Complete performance evaluations, develop and work with reports to implement action plans for improvement and development
Other:
  • Support Water and Machine Supervisors
  • Other duties as assigned
